What we must do to end forced annexation:
(1) Boycott
Lexington. This may be our last chance. Everyone – we who are being annexed and the people in the County who will be annexed in the future – must work together to end the evil of forced annexations.
(2) Protest at every event the town has and make people everywhere aware of the true unethical leadership that
Lexington has.(3) Call and write our Representatives and Senators every week and DEMAND a change in the laws.(4) VOTE FOR RAYNE BROWN FOR HOUSE! This is the best, most effective way to end forced annexation, insure a chance at being DE_ANNEXED in the future, and protect our property for municipal theft again.
October 28this the Barbecue Festival, and I know that many of you plan to attend. That fact staggers my imagination, but unfortunately it is true.
Before you go, please consider the following: the city council is annexing us – against our will – and more than doubling our taxes for nothing in return. If they are not annexing you now, they will capture you soon (the “ten year plan” is a lie perpetuated to mollify the soon- to - be annexed). If you spend any money in
Lexington you are supporting the corrupt City Council and aiding in the theft of your own money. Not only are you victims of the cannibalistic City Council, you are helping with the cooking!
The city council has lied about every single issue concerning this annexation, accusing us all of parasitical opportunism because we live near and have supported
Lexington by shopping there. They have used political tricks and broken laws. They insult us by their comments, actions and inferences that we do not know what is best for ourselves.
That we have let treason and extortion become part of our State politics is inexcusable, and how we have given legal mandates for politicians to place themselves on our welfare rolls is astonishing. It happened when we weren’t looking. Now that we see it, we should end it!
Boycott
Lexington and stop funding the thieves who steal from us.
If you come to the barbecue festival, come with us to protest! After an annexation, the City can and often does re-zone to suit the wants of developers and businesses. City Councilmen end up buying or renting out houses lost to tax debt. Ask the folks in Linwood. Winston Salem took over at least two golf courses after annexing them in their last annexation. Double taxes harm many aspects of the areas, not just the individuals, and the economic ramifications affect the entire state. Consider the future, and join the fight now. It is now that we need everyone.

Reconsider….YOU ARE NEXT Mayor Walser, his relatives, John Gray (City Manager), Donnie McBride and several City Council people are real estate agents.They want to sell lots and houses. The new Development at Tyro and Mt. Carmel Church Road has a disclaimer on its sign now that says “Not in annexed area”, and a selling point for this development is that it is NOT being annexed. IF annexation were such a good thing – as the City claims – then why are the real estate agents actively advertising their lots as “annexation free”? This is the reason that this area was NOT annexed this time – because the real estate/builder/ city council want to make money, and even they know that you can not sell a house in the city. That is, unless you are the Mayor and can sell your house to the City of
Lexington –which buys said house from you with taxpayer money – as just happened recently. Is this moral or ethical? NO. Is this illegal? It should be. Should Walser be impeached? Unquestionably. Should anyone move here? Never. The City Council will wait until the development is mostly filled with people, dreams and families before they move in, annex, and ruin yet another neighborhood for their own personal gain and profit. Parasites are never satisfied. The City wants Tyro and Reeds, and they will get them. Move near

The House just passed the MORITORIUM, but Senator Tony Rand (Democrat) killed the bill in the Senate the same way Hugh Holliman has killed so many in the house - by blocking it so that it was neve allowed to be voted on. Senator Rand defended his decision by saying the people of North Carolina are “too stupid to know what is best for them”. Most in the NC Senate are owned and operated by the League of Municipalities (as Holliman), so the Senators need to hear from all of us. Complaining to ourselves to ourselves does no good. Please call and write all of the Senators regularly, and be redundant and persistant. We can change things. Rolling over for these tyrants just makes it easier for them to step on you……. We need everyone. Call your friends and neighbors and family – enlist others to call and write emails and letters. I have been told that calls are best (other than visits), but we can all do several contact methods many times. The Senate is especially important. Larry Brown, Represenative Dollar, Represenative Dockham and Folwell will support this Bill. Senator Bingham has said – in the past – that he is against forced annexation but he maybe needs encouragement…….Hugh Holliman is no help to us at all. He represents the city and no one else.. Please write and start callinng ever day. Leave a message with assistants if you do not talk to a Rep. or Senator. It is not much trouble for a lot of good….
